Zev Haworth is a contemporary dancer and choreographer, currently in his senior year at New York University in the Tisch Dance department. Originally from Pittsburgh, he trained primarily in contemporary ballet under the mentorship of Maria Caruso, and later performed with her professional company, “Maria Caruso’s Bodiography” off Broadway.
At Tisch, his education included various techniques of contemporary dance, ballet, music, history and performance studies. He has studied with Sean Curran, Pamela Pietro, Giada Matteini, Andre Zachary, and Richard Move. During the Tisch Summer Residency, he has studied repertoire and technique from companies: Sidra Bell, Gibney, Gallim, David Dorfman Dance, Doug Varone and Ronald K. Brown’s Evidence. Currently in his senior year and in the Second Avenue Dance Company at Tisch, he has performed repertoire by the Limón Dance Company and Laja Field. He will graduate in June of 2024.
During his time at Tisch, Zev realized his passion for choreography, and developed his style, skill and vision throughout his college education.
Utilizing the school’s student choreographic showings, he created several large group pieces and solos, refining his skill set as a director and creator of dance.
